The Bluesy blog’s new home.

Everyone who knows me knows how much I love to move.  And considering I haven’t moved my physical location in a while, I decided to move my webserver and now my blog.  I find it provides the same relocation satisfaction without all of the messy packing and begging friends to help shlep your stuff for you.

For all of you who want to know me… my sites at www.bluesy.com  I have a bio on the site and I’m lazy, so feel free to read that bio in case I never get to write a new one here.  And yes, judging by the Cats sign in the background, the picture’s a bit old… but thanks to the wonders of Lancome and it’s multitude of freely sampled face cream, I don’t look much different (speaking of Free samples of Lancome, I just caught a great… well, if not great than really enjoyable flick on DVD last week… “Friends with Money.”  It’s the first thing I’ve seen Jennifer Aniston in that didn’t stink.  Maybe because Nicole Holofcener directed it… and I just love her stuff… and the cast is really great.  For anyone who lives in LA and has friends with money, I think it’s maybe especially hysterical… and if you’re wondering why free samples of Lancome face cream reminded me of this movie, there’s a very funny scene at a Lancome makeup counter that makes me wonder if N.H. hasn’t been secretly following me around at times or at least read my “Making up Is Hard to Do” article on the www.bluesy.com archives).

For those of you out there who know me, nothing new to report… I’ve been procrastinating up a storm lately, although I did have a brief bit of inspiration from reading Nora Ephron’s new book, “I feel bad about my neck,” which is a blast and I totally recommend picking one up.

Anyway, reading Nora’s essays inspired me to start writing an essay of my own about my new feeling about glasses… but if I can feel inspired enough to finish it perhaps I’ll post it here or on the Bluesy website.

But you know, I have an SCBWI art show and conference coming up in like 4 months, so I really need to get my butt in gear and get to working on some of these paintings, and finish up my book dummy (at least the copy is written… now if only I felt brave enough to try out my brand new art table… it just looks so darn pretty, I’d hate to ruin it with like paint of something… sigh).

Ciao for now,

 Bluesy
